1. Fireworks Safety

Fireworks are beautiful but can be dangerous. Always follow safety instructions on the packaging. Never light fireworks indoors or near dry grass. Keep a bucket of water or a hose nearby in case of fire. Supervise children around fireworks and never let them handle fireworks alone. After fireworks burn out, douse them with plenty of water before throwing them away.

2. Health Precautions

The 4th of July can be hot, so stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Use sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and reapply every two hours, especially if you're swimming or sweating. Wear a hat and sunglasses to protect your face and eyes. Take breaks in the shade to avoid overheating.

3. Traffic and Parking

Holiday traffic can be hectic. Plan your route in advance and leave early to avoid the rush. Look for designated parking areas and follow local parking rules. Be patient and allow extra time to find a parking spot. Consider carpooling to reduce the number of vehicles and ease traffic congestion.
